Career Orientation and Open-Door day in Ladybird

On Tuesday, the twelfth of March 2025, Ladybird Group of Schools Yaoundé hosted an event focused on Career Orientation. The purpose of this event was to equip students with valuable information and guidance, enabling them to make informed decisions about their future academic and professional pursuits.

Speakers

Among the attendees were esteemed resource persons such as (from left to right) Mr. Robert Ekukole, a retired journalist and media producer at CRTV; Dr. Lyonga Karim; Mr. Ngong George; and Mr. Nde Damasius, among others. These professionals educated our students on various career pathways, including medicine, health science, pharmacology, banking and finance, journalism, accountancy, and more. Educational Focus.

Exhibitions by students

The speakers helped young learners understand their strengths, interests, and values in relation to potential career paths. This involved assessing personal attributes and exploring various career options while emphasizing the role of passion and talent. The students demonstrated some of their productions to the amazements of the visitors. Additionally, they discussed the difference between a job and a career and guided students in making informed decisions about their future professional endeavors. Overall, the event successfully provided students with insights into diverse career opportunities and encouraged them to reflect on their aspirations for the future.
