SPORTS

At Ladybird Group of Schools, we believe that a healthy body supports a healthy mind. Our sports program is designed to build physical fitness, teamwork, and discipline among all our students.

Our Core Sports

We offer training and competition in four major team sports:

  • Football: The heart of our outdoor sports program. Students develop their skills, stamina, and team coordination on the pitch, participating in inter-house matches and local school tournaments.

  • Basketball: Played on our dedicated courts, basketball helps students improve their agility, speed, and strategic thinking. It is a favorite for both our secondary and high school learners.

  • Volleyball: This sport focuses on communication and quick reflexes. It is an inclusive activity that encourages students from all levels to participate and work together.

  • Handball: A fast-paced and exciting sport that builds upper body strength and coordination. Our handball teams are known for their energy and competitive spirit.

Inter-House Sports Competition

The highlight of our sporting calendar is the Annual Inter-House Sports Day. Students are divided into houses to compete for the championship trophy in football, basketball, volleyball, and handball, as well as various track and field events. This event promotes healthy rivalry and school spirit.

Training and Coaching

  • Expert Instruction: Our physical education teachers and specialized coaches ensure that students learn the correct techniques and rules for each sport.

  • Safety First: All sporting activities are supervised by staff and school matrons. As part of our health policy, students are covered by the school's insurance during these activities.

  • Sportsmanship: In line with our "High Moral Standards," we emphasize fair play, respect for opponents, and grace in both victory and defeat.

Facilities

We are committed to providing quality spaces for our athletes, including:

  • Standard football pitches.

  • Multi-purpose courts for basketball and volleyball.

  • Designated areas for handball training.

Whether playing for fun or for competition, every Ladybird student is encouraged to stay active and join a team!
